Well, so much for a "Happy" New Year. Our poor girl (canine) Natalie went to heaven this morning. She has had a tumour that blocked her from urinating 2 months ago. We were able to buy her some time with some anti-inflammatory drugs, but today our luck ran out. Once again she was unable to empty her bladder. It has been a very difficult day to say the least. This is not the way I intended to start the New Year and to go into surgery. Lilly is missing her really bad and can't understand why she never came home with us from the hospital.
Fortunately, Natalie was able to have one more run in the snow and one more ball toss and one more of Grandma's pancakes.
Oh Nancy, I am sorry. I was just checking in to wish you well on the surgery. So not the note to start the new year on. All of your family members know love, whether 2 or 4 legged and have/had a wonderful life with you in it. Take care of you, your heart and we'll keep checking in on you as you get some new knees!

Thanks Debbie. It has been a very sad year so far fo sure. It HAS to get better from here! I have been thinking of all of you as well. I hope the 26th party was a "SPLASH"! Sorry I couldn't be there. I'll try for next year!
ReplyDeleteawww Nancy, I'm so sorry for your loss. My favorite saying is "Dogs are not our whole lives, but they make our lives whole". There's really nothing like the unconditional love of a dog. We have to feel so blessed when they choose to live their lives (no matter how short) with us.
ReplyDeleteSo Sad, I know what you're going through. Bt you know she's up there with Stogie and Arrow running around and playing! Love Anne
